Reduce your Flowsery Analytics usage

If you are approaching your event limit, start by removing traffic you do not actually need to analyze.

Exclude low-value traffic

The most effective way to reduce usage is to remove paths, IPs, countries, and hostnames that add noise to your reports. See exclude visits for the available controls.

Pause tracking at limit

Flowsery exposes a Pause tracking at limit option from the billing UI.

What the current implementation does is more nuanced than “drop everything immediately”:

  • New events can still be accepted by the tracking pipeline.
  • Over-quota data is flagged as over-quota and hidden from standard dashboard queries.
  • Your historical data remains accessible.

That means this setting should be treated as a dashboard-visibility control for over-quota data, not as a guarantee that events are permanently discarded at ingestion time.

Practical ways to lower usage

  • Exclude internal dashboards such as /app/* if they are not useful for marketing analytics.
  • Exclude admin paths such as /admin/*.
  • Remove bot-heavy or irrelevant traffic sources from reporting.
  • Avoid double-sending the same goal or payment event from both client and server paths.
